About Us
The Alpine Lakes Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Since 1993, we have actively supported conservation and education efforts in Washington’s Alpine Lakes region.
Thanks to a recent generous gift, our mission going forward is to provide meaningful grants each year to aid stewardship of the Alpine Lakes area by supporting youth, research, public education, advocacy, and conservation.
Recent Foundation grants include funding for youth projects and programs involving the outdoors. We are committed to supporting young people so that they learn and appreciate the value of wildlands and wilderness.
Protecting those wildlands and wilderness has always been a top priority. Overuse in the Enchantments, bigger dams in the Icicle, and a shrinking Forest Service budget all concern us. We support responses to these and other threats to the Alpine Lakes as they inevitably arise.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible gift to the Foundation or know of a project in need of funding, please contact us at AlpineLakesFoundationWA@gmail.com. Geographically, our focus is on the Alpine Lakes, but we will consider proposals with broader scope that also affect the Alpine Lakes.
