About Us
The Alpine Lakes Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Launched in 1993, it has actively supported conservation and education in the Alpine Lakes region.
With education and support as our goals, our activities have ranged from funding a map of the wilderness to operating a website as a public education project. We are willing to work with government, groups, and individuals to support their study, advocacy, and conservation efforts in the Alpine Lakes. Geographically, our area of interest is the Alpine Lakes, but we will consider proposals with a broader scope so long as they also affect the Alpine Lakes.
Based in Seattle, our foundation is governed by a board of directors currently consisting of Mike Pierson (president), Dave Knibb (vice-president), Art Day (secretary), Harry Romberg (treasurer), Jim Hottott, Don Parks, and Rick Jerabek.
The foundation does not have members, but we welcome comments, suggestions, and concerns about our present or potential activities.
